Welcome to the North Carolina Association of Colleges and Teacher Educators website.

Register now for the 28th Annual North Carolina Fall Teacher Education Forum, Thursday-Friday, September 23-24, 2010, at the North Raleigh Hilton. The conference theme, Creating and Building Relationships in an Era of Accountability, will feature concurrent reasearch sessions, a student poster session and membership reception, the NCDPI update presented by Lynne Johnson, an address by the Teacher of the Year, Jennifer Facciolini, and other special events.

To insure a reservation at the North Raleigh Hilton, be sure to book your room by contacting the hotel directly at (919) 872-2323 or www.hilton.com and use the TEF conference code. Although the deadline for booking at the special conference rates (single $110 single/double, $120 triple, $130 quad) is September 10, when the block of rooms reserved for the Teacher Education Forum is reserved, rooms will be booked at the regular Hilton rates.

To register for the conference, download Registration Form (also above or on the left of this webpage) and send to Dr. Michael J. Maher, Treasurer, NC State University, College of Education, Campus Box 7801, Raleigh, NC 27695. For questions contact profressional_edu@ncsu.edu or call (919) 545-5124. Registration along with check payable to NC-ACTE must be received by Friday, September 17 (pre-conference rate $110, on-site $140, student rate $50). Credit cards or faxes cannot be accepted.

All proposals have been evaluated and all who submitted proposals have been notified. If you have questions about your proposal or notification, please contact Randy Kohlenberg at rbkohlen@uncg.edu or call (336) 254-5502. Poster proposals likewise have been evaluations, and all who have submitted have been notified.

Applications from those who wish to preside at the conference are now being accepted. Please send your request to Randy Kohlenberg at rbkohlen@uncg.edu.

All presenters and presiders must register for the conference in advance.

 

The Spring Teacher Education Forum is scheduled for Friday, April 15, 2011, and will be held at the North Carolina State University in Raleight. The focus of the forum will be on technology in learning, the virtual school, and teaching in the electronic environment. Further information about the conference will appear on this website.
